Henry and Mommy waited in line for an hour and a half to vote for President-Elect Barack Obama during early voting the week before the election. On election day, we all went to watch the returns with the Cronan Kerins gang. Andrew, Meg, Nate and I were wringing our hands a little as the early results came in, but Henry and Finn slept easy the whole time--babies must have greater faith in us than we have in ourselves.
We feel so fortunate that Henry will start his life in an America made fresh with the hope of a new leader, a more peaceful world, a fairer nation.
